Kate Grovergrys
Kate Grovergrys is a skilled educator with over 25 years of experience delivering engaging language instruction. Her current position is at Madison Area Technical College, and she holds a B.A. from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and a M.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Ying Jin
Ying Jin is a passionate and enthusiastic educator of Chinese language and culture with over 20 years of teaching experience in diverse educational settings. She currently teaches at Cupertino High School in California.
Technology and Classroom Engagement: Strategies and Solutions
This is a highly participatory discussion that focuses on using technology to engage students across the three modes of communication at the appropriate proficiency level. Come ready to talk about your experience and questions with fellow colleagues. Moderated by Kathleen Shelton, ODEW, ACTFL.

"Mindful Curricula and Classrooms: Lessons from Real Teachers in Real Programs"
- Participants will walk away with a plan on how to engage in reflective teaching practices and integrate world language learning into the general school environment.
Wednesday, August 7th: Marcia Davis, World Language Middle School; Columbus, Ohio
"Unlocking Student Engagement: Who Really Holds the Keys?"
- Participants will walk away with a template for lesson design that will encourage student engagement that supports acquisition-driven instruction.
