  • Jon Breiner, receives a 2-year grant from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) to expand the UC BIPOC Teacher Pathway Program that he started. In addition, he, along with Dr. Susan Watts-Taffe in the School of Education, received a 5-year $1.25 million dollar NIH grant through their Science Education Partnership Awards (SEPA), Growing and Sustaining Community Researchers in STEM. The project focuses on populations currently underrepresented in STEM careers, Black, Latinx, and rural Appalachian students.
  • Yujie Sun, receives 3 new awards including the ACS PRF: Electricity-Driven Asymmetric Hydrogenation of Imines and Ketones via Palladium Membrane Electrodes, NSF: Electrocatalytic Production of Valuable Polymer Feedstocks from Biomass-Derived Furanics and CO2, and DOE: Selective, Durable, and Energy-Efficient Electrolyzer for Carbon Dioxide to Ethylene Conversion
