Tony Russell received the American Chemical Society Divisions of Polymer Chemistry & Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering POLYED Undergraduate Award for Excellence over the full year of organic chemistry.

2009

Chelsea Korte received the American Chemical Society Divisions of Polymer Chemistry & Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering POLYED Undergraduate Award for Excellence over the full year of organic chemistry; Kimberly Bauer received the UC 2009 C-Ring Award; Whitney Howard received the "People's Choice Award."

2008

Michael Brothers, was awarded a Homeland Security Fellowship by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for future research in chemical biology; David Siler, received a Phi Beta Kappa Endowment Fund Scholarship; Zachary Bryson, was chosen as "Mr. Bearcat" at the All-University Awards Program; Michael Brothers, received the Robert Patterson McKibbin Medal from the College of A&S.

2007

David Siler, won 1st place at the KY-IN-OH Undergraduate Research Symposium with his poster entitled "Synthesis of Divalent and Tetravalent Glycoconjugates for Pathogen Detection"; Shareika Medonza, William Bowen Award from the Darwin T. Turner Scholarship Program.

2006

Michael Brothers, won 1st place at the KY-IN-OH Undergraduate Research Symposium with his poster entitled "Design & Synthesis of Robust Carbohydrate Ligands for the Detection of Shiga Toxin."
