UC Behavioral Health Center

About

The UC Behavioral Health Center is the psychological services clinic run by the University of Cincinnati Psychology Department. We serve UC and the local community by providing low-cost options for therapy.

The Behavioral Health Center is a training clinic for graduate students in the Psychology Department. All services are conducted by graduate trainees and supervised by licensed clinical psychologists.

Our Services:

We offer individual and couples therapy services using evidence-based practices. Sessions are scheduled weekly for 50-minutes. We offer services to address concerns related to anxiety, depression, stress, and interpersonal challenges.

We also occasionally offer child and adolescent psychotherapy and group therapy. Please email us (behavioralhealth@uc.edu) to inquire about these services.

The Behavioral Health Center is located on the 3rd floor of the U Square Classrooms building on Calhoun Street, in Suite 380. The U Square Building is located directly across the street from UC’s main campus, in between Target and Spectrum Mobile. The address is:

You can also call  us at 513-556-5559 and leave a message.  We will return your message within 2-4 business days.

 

Frequently Asked Questions:

We offer services on a sliding scale fee from $15–$50, based on your income. Due to the training nature of our clinic, we do not accept insurance.

Sessions are scheduled weekly for 50-minutes.

No! In fact, we specialize in shorter-term therapy (generally about 6 months to a year) with flexibility based on your needs. 

Your therapist is a graduate trainee in the doctoral program for clinical psychology at the University of Cincinnati. All trainees receive supervision by a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Ohio. 

We offer confidential, personalized, identity affirming therapy using evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral strategies. Your therapist uses a collaborative, non-judgmental approach to help you identify treatment goals and works with you to make progress towards those goals. 

We do not offer ADHD evaluations.

We do not offer autism spectrum disorder evaluations.

We do not offer neuropsychological assessment services for adults. We do offer learning disorder assessments for children and teens. If interested, please click here.
