Financial Support- University Graduate Scholarship
The University Graduate Scholarship (UGS) is awarded on a competitive basis to students who meet the admission requirements to the graduate program. The scholarship covers tuition and some fees. Students who receive a UGS are also eligible to receive a Graduate Teaching Assistantship, which pays an additional stipend for teaching 3-5 credit hours per semester.
All students are reviewed yearly with respect to their coursework and teaching before a subsequent reappointment. Students studying toward the MA degree are allowed two years of support. Those studying toward a PhD are allowed up to an additional four years of support.
