Dual MA in French and Francophone Studies and WGSS

The departments of Romance and Arabic Languages and Literatures (RALL) and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) offer a dual MA that can be completed in two years by full-time students. Successful applicants have the possibility to serve as a teaching assistant in both RALL and WGSS, allowing them to gain valuable teaching experience in both fields.

Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at UC

Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) is one of the fastest growing academic fields in the country. The Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Cincinnati, as one of the oldest and most respected and established academic programs in WGSS, is on the cutting edge of this movement. Students in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at UC experience small classes with much individualized attention, outstanding research and teaching faculty, rigorous and diverse curricula, internship and study abroad opportunities, graduate student teaching experience, regular symposia and guest speakers, an excellent placement record, and a highly supportive environment.

Our department has twelve core faculty and nearly 100 affiliated faculty members from a wide spectrum of academic disciplines and intellectual backgrounds. Our substantial endowment, raised by our long-established Friends of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, provides additional scholarship, internship, and graduate assistant funds for our students.
