Financial Aid & Grants
Our MA, MA/JD joint-degree, and MA/PhD dual-degree students are eligible to receive full or partial graduate assistantship stipends and tuition remission while pursuing their MA degrees, for which they apply during the application process. Full-time 4+1 MA students are eligible for 25% tuition remission during their graduate year but are not eligible for other awards.
Grants for graduate student travel and research are offered by the Charles Phelps Taft Research Center, the Graduate Student Governance Association, the UC Research Council, and UC International. The WGSS department also offers a public interest internship grant for graduate students. The Friends of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is also a source of graduate student career mentoring and graduate assistantship support.
